Specialist in Educational Leadership in Curriculum Director

Program Details

The online Specialist in Educational Leadership in Curriculum Director program is designed for teachers or administrators with Master’s degrees that wish to prepare for campus or district curriculum leadership roles.  Students will learn the skills and knowledge needed to be responsible for school or district instructional materials including the evaluation and development of educational programs, textbooks, classroom technology, and teacher professional development.  Coursework consists of analysis of comprehensive studies, research and data, administrative logistics, curriculum design, innovations and theories, ethics and professional behavior, and legislative aspects of the school system from the perspective of a Curriculum Directorship role.


  • At least a 3.25 GPA in a master's degree from an accredited institution and program
  • Baccalaureate degree with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 (4.0 scale) from an accredited institution
  • Official transcript(s)
  • Two years of experience as a certified teacher in an educational institution
  • A current state-issued teaching license
  • A written commitment from a practicing building-level administrator who will serve as a mentor
