Alverno College offers an online Doctor of Education (EdD) program designed to equip you with executive-level skills for leadership roles in various educational settings. This flexible program allows you to balance doctoral studies with your professional commitments, enabling completion in as few as two years.

Concentrations

• K–12 Leadership: Prepare to transform schools and school districts, with the option to pursue additional courses for superintendent eligibility.
• Higher Education Leadership: Develop skills to lead programs, departments, and initiatives in colleges and universities, focusing on student outcomes and innovation.
• Teaching and Learning in Higher Education: Gain instructional expertise to effectively engage 21st-century college students across various learning formats.

Alverno College offers a comprehensive Educational Specialist (EdS) in School Psychology program designed to prepare you for a career as a licensed school psychologist. This three-year graduate program is structured to provide both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, ensuring you are well-equipped to support students' academic success and mental health. The program encompasses two sequential degrees:

• Master of Science in Educational Psychology: In the initial phase, you will complete coursework that lays the foundation in educational psychology.
• Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology: After obtaining your master's degree, you will advance to specialized coursework focusing on school psychology practices.

Classes are conducted online during evenings or weekends, allowing you to balance your studies with personal and professional commitments. ​

Career Outcomes

Graduates are equipped to work in K-12 educational settings, focusing on improving academic and behavioral outcomes, as well as engaging in prevention and intervention efforts to support student well-being. Alverno's EdS program is fully accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) and approved by Wisconsin's Department of Public Instruction. Upon graduation, you will be eligible for licensure as a school psychologist in Wisconsin and can apply for the Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential, facilitating certification reciprocity in selected states.

Alverno College offers an online Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN to BSN) program. This program is ideal for those with an associate’s degree in nursing and an unencumbered RN license. The curriculum blends theory and practice, developing skills in leadership, management of care, quality assurance, and safety.
