About Voorhees College

A private, liberal arts higher education institution, Voorhees College maintains affiliations with the Episcopal Church and the United Negro College Fund. Elizabeth Evelyn Wright Menafee is credited with the founding of this historically black school in 1897. Today, Voorhees commits to preparing students for the long-term pursuit of learning and service, as a means to promote the betterment of their communities. More than half of faculty hold a terminal degree.
