About Pitt Community College
Pitt Community College was founded in 1961 by the North Carolina State Board of Education as Pitt Industrial Education Center. In 1964 the school changed names to Pitt Technical Institute. It was finally in 1979 that the school changed to its current name. Pitt Community College serves students from its campus in Winterville, North Carolina.
