About Wilson Community College
Founded in 1958, Wilson Community College is a comprehensive community college and a proud North Carolina Community College System member. The College has an “open door policy,” which means that students are assisted in selecting programs that serve their needs and objectives in life, consistent with their backgrounds, aptitudes, and expressed interests. It began as an institute that offered technical programs, and then in 1993, the Department of Community Colleges granted the College the authority to award the Associate in Arts degree. The courses required for this degree parallel the first two years of those offered by four-year colleges and universities. Since 1997, the College has experienced extraordinary student growth and continues to serve as a major source of education and training for the workforce in Wilson County.
WCC offers associate’s degrees and certificates, several of which can be completed 100% online. WCC online degrees offer a range of services to help students succeed. Whether a student is focused solely on their education or working full-time, raising a family, and completing a degree, the Wilson Community College online program is dedicated to student success.
