Prepare for excellence in your new role as a principal or assistant principal in an elementary or secondary education school.

The online M.Ed. in Educational Leadership at Winthrop University develops the skills listed in the eight standards set by the National Policy Board for Educational Administration (NPBEA). These standards focus on: Mission, Vision, and Improvement; Ethics and Professional Norms; Equity, Inclusiveness, and Cultural Responsiveness; Learning and Instruction; Community and External Leadership; Operations and Management; Building Professional Capacity, and an Internship.

The program is also accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP).

You can graduate within two years, learning online when and where it’s best for you.

You’ll learn in small classes that provide lots of personalized attention and complete three application-based internships to build your experience level.
