Program Details

WNMU offers an online MA in Counseling with several concentrations.  In this Substance Abuse Counseling focus, you’ll expand your knowledge base and develop new skills as you prepare to become an LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor) and an LADAC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Addiction Counselor). To fulfill these requirements, you must take all courses from the Mental Health Counseling track and the Substance Abuse Counseling track. Most coursework is completed in an asynchronous format, however there may be a few classes that are taught synchronously for you to exchange ideas and benefit from networking with your peers.  Sample classes within this online graduate program, are:

  • Psychopathology & Diagnostics
  • Pharmacology
  • Psychopharmacology for Counselors & Therapists
