Program Details

WNMU offers an online MA in Counseling with several available concentrations.  In this Mental Health Counseling focus, you’ll enhance your knowledge and skills as you prepare to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). This program does entail a substantial internship in either a school or counseling agency, but it may be completed locally. Most coursework is asynchronous, however there may be a few classes that are taught synchronously for you to exchange ideas and benefit from networking with your peers.  Sample classes within this online graduate program, are:

  • Legal, Ethical and Professional Issues in Counseling
  • Child & Adolescent Development & Counseling
  • Grief, Loss, & Trauma
  • Program Development & Management
