Program Details

An online Master of Arts degree in Counseling is available to the working adult students through West Texas A & M University.  This program prepares professional counselors to address progressively growing and diverse populations.  Studies may include but are not limited to:

• Crisis Counseling
• Group Counseling
• Couples and Family Counseling

Students will develop skills in assessment and diagnosis as well as tools applicable to counseling roles in clinical settings.  Graduates with this degree are prepared to take the counselor education program’s comprehensive exam, and then begin to pursue professional licensure.  Explore faculty-approved internships, legal, ethical and professional issues, diversity, group work and more with West Texas A & M University online.
