Program Details

The online Certificate in Molecular Biosciences program provides students with a working knowledge of the foundations of three fields of study: genetics, microbiology, and biochemistry, and an understanding of how to use these to make informed decisions about societal issues.  They will understand how science relates to many current topics including environmental issues, global climate change, crop and livestock production, and stem cell research.  Graduates will be prepared for both science and non-science careers and are qualified to work with non-profit organizations and government agencies that make decisions using science and private sector businesses who require employees with interdisciplinary scientific training.
