Master’s-prepared nurses who are not licensed as an APRN-NP in their state can pursue this online Doctor of Nursing Practice degree track. The program from Washburn University has a unique focus on entrepreneurship as the first DNP in the country to offer enrollment in MBA courses as part of the curriculum. Nurses graduate with advanced skills in both nursing and business management.

Coursework prepares students with the clinical, organizational, and leadership skills necessary  to advance nursing practice and improve patient outcomes. Students can pursue a Family Nurse Practitioner track or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner track, both of which are eligible to lead to national certification.
