Designed for students interested in careers in such areas as organizational consulting, organizational development, academia, training and development, talent management, research, or business and consulting, this doctoral specialization provides the advanced research skills, theoretical knowledge, and advanced expertise required to conduct research, teach in higher education settings, or help diverse organizations improve workplace and workforce productivity. Focusing on organizational behavior in the workplace, you will explore employee assessment and recruitment practices, job attitudes, workplace motivation, team building, job performance measurement systems, and advanced topics in personnel psychology such as competency modeling and talent management. Through the doctoral dissertation, you will have the opportunity to research an area of specific interest and contribute to the body of knowledge in the field.
