Prepare to lead disaster response teams in the face of natural or man-made catastrophes with the Emergency Management specialization of Walden University’s PhD in Criminal Justice degree. The focus of this online Emergency Management degree is on skill development and learning methods for building effective teams.

Courses explore new Emergency Management leadership tactics required across various global locations and industries, as well as ethical issues that may arise. Graduates can apply for certification from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Emergency Management Institute. Separate tracks are available for students entering the program with a master’s degree related to Criminal Justice and for those with a master’s in another field.
