Program Details
A General PhD in Forensic Psychology allows you to advance your career in non-clinical fields such as teaching, program evaluation, and consulting. Walden University’s online Forensic Psychology degree examines how principles from the field can be applied to promote positive social change.
Courses explore behavior analysis, foundational research in Forensic Psychology, and decision making using relevant ethical codes. Students will use advanced research methods to conduct their own research projects. This online Forensic Psychology degree program has two tracks: Track I is available to students with a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology; Track II is a pathway for students with a master’s degree in an unrelated field.
Students will study topics including:
- Treatment of forensic populations
- Psychology in the courts
- Police psychology
- Legal issues and social change in forensic psychology
