First responders, law enforcement officials, and their families often face the effects of crises and post-traumatic stress. Walden University offers a PhD in Forensic Psychology with advanced training in Crisis Response to help these individuals work through difficult situations and emotions.

Trained Crisis Response professionals can help lead officer selection and training, stress management, critical incident stress debriefing, hostage negotiations, and selection of special operations officers. Students will learn how to work directly with victims and first responders to guide them through stress management and coping strategies. This online Forensic Psychology degree program has two tracks: Track I is available to students with a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology; Track II is a pathway for students with a master’s degree in an unrelated field.
