Program Details
Walden University offers a Master of Science in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Behavioral Sciences as an option in their online criminal justice program. In Behavioral Science students gain a deeper look into the behaviors that trigger criminal activity, especially that of violent crime and sexual offenders. Courses look at the psychological issues that can prompt the acts of violent crime and at the etiology of sexual offender behavior and sexual offender typology and treatment.
In addition, students will complete general criminal justice coursework as they study the broader criminal justice field. You will study a unique blend of criminal behavior theory along with technology, homeland security, and management skills applicable to the challenges facing the law enforcement community. Courses evaluate the root causes of crime and their impact on criminal justice practices and procedures in this online criminal justice degree. Students also analyze how law enforcement, courts, and corrections function and interact at the local, state, and federal levels.
