Walden University offers the Master of Science in Forensic Psychology online degree to students of all undergraduate backgrounds who are seeking a solid foundation in basic scientific methods and psychological principles.  This general program provides a broad overview of the forensic psychology field, helping you gain the knowledge, skills, and expertise needed to drive positive change within the criminal justice system and with the first responders and other professionals who serve your community.  The curriculum explores the biological, psychological, and social factors that impact criminal behavior, helping you to understand criminal behavior on a deeper level.  Coursework helps students evaluate psychological approaches and their effectiveness in dealing with offenders and also examines research methods used in forensic assessments as you learn to evaluate and enhance systems and programs aimed at forensic populations.  With this master’s degree in forensic psychology you are prepared to apply new insights, skills, and perspectives to various nonclinical roles in such areas as:
