Walden University

Program Details

The Master of Science in Forensic Psychology online degree offers a concentration in Criminal Justice from Walden University for those interested in this field of study but wanting greater freedom in their studies.  This online criminal justice degree is a self-designed option with great flexibility as you learn about the intersection between the forensic psychology and criminal justice fields.  Students create unique learning programs, deepening their understanding of forensic psychology while focusing on criminal justice practice and theory.  You will learn how forensic psychology professionals, criminal justice practitioners, and victim advocates work together while choosing from such courses as:
  • The Nature of Crime and Criminology
  • Controversies in Criminal Justice
  • Special Populations
  • Victimology
  • Disaster Response and Recovery
Unlike the other self-designed concentration, this Criminal Justice concentration focuses only on the criminal justice field while the other concentration allows you to explore other fields as well.
In addition to the courses chosen in criminal justice, all students will complete coursework in the broader forensic psychology field, learning about the biological, psychological, and social factors that impact criminal behavior.
