Master of Business Administration / Leadership
Walden University offers the Master of Business Administration degree with a Specialization in Leadership for students and professionals who are interested in learning about the advanced principles and practices of leadership of organizational structures, and the other roles of leaders in business. Students will develop an understanding of how leadership impacts organizational efficiency and will develop their own leadership styles as they learn to inspire others and influence the future of organizations. Students will explore the perspectives of what makes a good leader and evaluate their own leadership style.
The program consists of classroom courses that emphasize real-world education through examination of cases and education that will be applicable on the job. Those classes include leadership practices and applications, advanced leadership strategies, business strategy for competitive advantage, financial management, leading people, and contemporary approaches to leadership and management. Finally, in the capstone course students will utilize their education, abilities, and critical-thinking capacities to explore and examine issues and situations faced by leaders through the use of real-world examples.
Through completion of the program, students will have demonstrated the professionalism and skill necessary to earn the degree. The qualifications demonstrate that the student has been able to apply the principles they have learned in the program into their eventual development as functional effective professional in their field. These qualifications include the ability to develop a range of professional strategies that promote their effectiveness in a business environment.

Bernie and Rita Turner founded Walden University in 1970 in order to provide an educational opportunity for working adults.
