Walden University offers the Master of Business Administration / Healthcare Management for students and professionals in management, healthcare and other fields who want to develop an education in management.
In this program, students will learn how management becomes specialized when applied toward organizations that provide patient care, public health care, or other services that are related to healthcare. Students will learn about the U.S. healthcare system and the financial management and personnel management techniques that guide the operation of healthcare organizations, whether they are public, private, business, nonprofit, or government. Students will also learn how economic principles apply to critical healthcare decision-making responsibilities, such as the allocation and distribution of resources and services. Students will explore the techniques required to develop, manage, and control healthcare finances, while preparing for management roles in healthcare systems.
