Advance your career in research, education, or consulting with a PhD in Psychology from Walden University. The Self-Designed option allows students to choose courses that match their personal interests and professional goals.
The program is geared toward those who want to teach in higher education or contribute original research to the field. Core class topics include studies of research foundations, program evaluation, teaching of psychology, and consulting for organizational change. Students can waive up to five courses if they have a master’s degree in a related field.
Self-designed elective courses can be chosen from any of Walden’s doctoral level Psychology specializations, including:
