Program Details

The online AAS in Early Childhood Education degree program from Wake Technical Community College prepares students to work with children from birth through age eight in diverse learning environments. Students learn to foster the cognitive/language, physical/motor, social/emotional, and creative development of young children as they study:

  • Child growth and development
  • Physical/nutritional needs of children
  • Care and guidance of children
  • Communication skills with families and children

Requirements

A practicum experience with young children under the supervision of qualified teachers is required. This degree program requires 70-71 credits for completion.
