Program Details

The online Associate in Applied Science in Advertising & Graphic Design degree is available from Wake Technical Community College for individuals interested in careers in the graphic design profession.  This graphic design degree program prepares students for careers that emphasize design, advertising, print production, web design, photography, social media, multimedia, and video editing.  You will learn to develop and design promotional materials, including newspaper and magazine ads, posters, folders, letterheads, logos, brochures, and more.  Coursework prepares students to produce the art for printing, lettering, and typography and to work with the development of photography and electronic media.  Graduates will be familiar with designing and maintaining simple websites and be able to use industry standard tools and industry best practices.
