Program Details

Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University offers both a Master of Science and a Master of Engineering in Computer Engineering. The MS option is recommended for students interested in pursuing a PhD degree, and requires a thesis presentation in addition to course work. The ME option is not recommended for students aiming to pursue a PhD, and requires course work and an oral exam consisting of either a presentation of a project by the student or questions covering course work from the examination committee.
