UW-Whitewater offers an online Graduate Certificate in Autism Specialist. This program is designed for professionals with related undergraduate degrees seeking more advanced skillsets with specifically autistic children. The program emphasizes evidence-based interventions and action research.
To qualify for admission to a certificate program in good standing, you must have a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution with an overall grade point average (G.P.A.) of 2.75 or above.
Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP)
The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) now administers both NCATE and TEAC accreditation. Current accreditation status under NCATE and TEAC for education programs will continue through the accreditation term, during which they will be CAEP Eligible.
