Program Details

The online Master of Science in Engineering with a specialization in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering is a rigorous technical program which draws on students’ existing knowledge of engineering theory and mathematics as well as practical engineering experience.  The curriculum explores the AASHTO LRFD design methods in the traditional geotechnical engineering design areas of shallow foundations, deep foundations, earth retaining structures, along with geosynthetics.  Students will learn about the LRFD design of steel structures and the dynamics of structures, and LRFD design codes and methodologies.


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from a regionally or nationally accredited institution
  • Overall undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or above; or 2.90 on the last 60 credits from the degree-granting institution
