Accelerated BSN to MSN
University of West Florida

Program Details

The online curriculum of the University of West Florida’s Accelerated BSN to MSN program combines professional skill development with clinical practice opportunities in students’ areas. Designed for those who have previously completed an RN program and are ready to pursue advanced credentials, UWF’s accelerated program accepts up to 92 transfer credits and is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

The program features evidence-based coursework at the BSN and MSN level to prepare nurses for a broader scope of practice. Twelve hours of undergraduate coursework can be applied to the master’s degree, allowing students to graduate faster and more affordably. The MSN portion includes a nursing education track.

Emphasizing key topics like community nursing, health systems leadership, advanced pharmacology and more, the BSN to MSN degree incorporates adult learning theory that builds on previous nursing education and experience. Undergraduate and graduate coursework can be completed in just three to four years.
