Program Details

The Valley Forge Christian College offers a Master's in Theology. This program provides a well-rounded exposure to knowledge and the application of theological concepts. The program is designed to enrich anyone actively involved in Christian ministry and prepares the students to respond to curious questions with the correct answers. This program requires 36 credit hours to be completed and can be taken online to provide freedom of study within the parameters of the set semesters.

To be eligible for admittance into the Christian Leadership program, applicants must: have a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of a 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, have a minimum of twelve undergraduate or graduate credits in Bible/Theology (if the applicant has less than 12 credits they must score a 95 or higher on the Bible Content Exam provided by the VFCC), submit official undergraduate and graduate transcripts, complete the online application, complete the GRE, MAT or a portfolio in substitution for test scores which contains 25 pages of work, and last submit three letters of reference (two from professors and one personal reference). Once accepted into the program there are a variety of courses to best prepare students for a well-rounded knowledge of Theology.

Upon completion of the program students will have reached the following learning outcomes: communicate in writing biblical and theological academic research that addresses concerns within the community of faith, analyze empirical and theological concepts in cross-cultural settings and directly assess and formulate theological construct to enrich that particular cultures, delineate the historical roots of theological and philosophical developments and identify the societal influences upon those developments, and lastly students will articulate various schools of theological thought and how they apply to the interpretation of Scripture. The need for graduate level Theology education continues to grow.


Applicants must have achieved a four year undergraduate degree.
