Use your nursing knowledge for a career in research with a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing. This nursing degree online is designed for students who have achieved a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
Students in the program participate in synchronous online courses with a cohort, with additional on-campus and conference-based intensives. The Nursing PhD program is split into two parts, the coursework phase and the dissertation phase. Topics covered in the coursework phase include:
- Research ethics and protection of human subjects
- Applied informatics for health sciences research
- Introduction to grantsmanship
- Critical appraisal and synthesis of literature
