Program Details

The Bachelor of Science in Human Services degree online from the University of the Cumberlands prepares students to work in the human services field in a helping profession.  The curriculum develops foundational knowledge and skills in the field while emphasizing ways to enhance self-awareness, understand personal values, and foster appreciation of diversity and the needs of humanity.  You will complete courses in professional helping skills, behavioral theory, and social issues.  Students gain a core knowledge base in human behavior theory, research methods, and social welfare policy, and they gain an understanding of the human services perspective as it relates to individuals, groups, and communities.  Graduates will be professionals who are prepared to conduct ethical practice, establish appropriate boundaries, and apply their skills within professional environments.
