Program Details

The Graduate Certificate in Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician (MHRT)/ Community is an online counseling degree program from the University of Southern Maine.  This program, offered within the Rehabilitation Counseling concentration, is suited for those practicing in the mental health field who wish to have more experience and training on psychosocial rehabilitation.  The curriculum consists of five courses:

• Introduction to Rehabilitation Counseling and Services
• Psychiatric Rehabilitation: Evidence-based Practices and Treatment
• Medical and Psychological Aspects of Disability and Rehabilitation
• Multicultural Counseling: Social & Cultural Foundations of Helping Diverse Families
• Vocational Counseling and Placement in Rehabilitation

This online graduate counseling program meets all of the competencies that were implemented in 2019.
