Program Details
The MSN with a concentration in Adult-Gerontology Clinical Nurse Specialist degree is an online adult nurse practitioner program that prepares students to act as expert clinicians, leaders, researchers, educators, and consultants. You will work with patients and their families, nursing personnel, and organization systems as you care for individuals across their lifespans. The goal of the program is to prepare competent, outcome-oriented practitioners who are ready to work with complex patients to encourage health, well-being and quality of life. In addition to working to produce positive patient outcomes, students also learn to integrate and coordinate patient care services with professionals in other areas and to collaborate with other members of the health care team. Graduates will educate others to promote positive health care and disease prevention and will treat patients with common acute and chronic illnesses.
