The University of Southern California’s Master of Science in Computer Science program provides students with a deep understanding of both fundamentals and current issues in computer science and computer engineering so they may either obtain productive careers or pursue advanced degrees. Graduates may seek employment in the industries of aerospace and defense, computer programming, software design, bioinformatics, computer simulation, information technology, architecture, and communications, among others.

Students communicate with peers and faculty in real time via online sessions, and faculty work with students to coordinate service learning and internship opportunities in regions near to the student’s residence.
Online students also have access to USC resources, including financial aid. Master’s programs typically require about two years to complete, while students can complete certificate programs in one year.
