Program Details

The Master of Arts (M.A.) in Educational Administration, Pre-K-12 Principal program provides aspiring school leaders a combination of online courses and field experiences that draw upon the best available theory, research, and experiential wisdom. The coursework is offered online while the field-based internship is completed under the supervision of experienced school administrators. This provides a purposeful balance of academic preparation and field-based practical experience to produce an effective school administrator.

Upon completion of the online Educational Administration degree, including the accompanying field-based internship, students may earn PK-12 Principal licensure. Students should contact their state for specific licensure requirements.

This program requires an internship.

  • One official transcript verifying receipt of an undergraduate degree and official transcripts of all academic work at the undergraduate and graduate levels are required for all students
  • Three letters of recommendation

  • Must have 3 years of teaching experience in PK-12

The Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) now administers both NCATE and TEAC accreditation. Current accreditation status under NCATE and TEAC for education programs will continue through the accreditation term, during which they will be CAEP Eligible.
