Master of Science in Instructional Design & Development

Program Details

The online MS in Instructional Design & Development degree program from the University of South Alabama provides students with the information and skills training needed to analyze instructional tasks, design and deliver instructional programs, and perform evaluative procedures on instructional products and services. In addition to learning how to provide instructional or training solutions to organizational problems, students learn about the subfield in IDD called human performance improvement (HPI). HPI is used in organizations when non-training solutions are called for, such as:

  • Job Redesign
  • Conflict Management
  • Leadership Training

Requirements

  • Official transcripts from all institutions attended
  • Two letters of recommendation from persons familiar with the applicant's academic and/or professional abilities
  • A statement of the applicant's career goal(s) and purpose(s) for pursuing the Master's program in Instructional Design and Development
  • Results of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) including the writing component, or the MAT, sent by the testing agency to the Registrar
