Program Details

University of North Texas offers an online Master of Science in Library Sciences degree. With this program, students learn about the function of information professionals working in libraries, agencies, museums, and other organizations. The curriculum was designed by expert professionals who work with records and archives and can provide specialized instruction and methods for dealing with these materials.

Requirements

  • Requires 6 days of in person classroom attendance
  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited institution
  • Official transcript from each college or university that you have attended 
  • Recommended undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on the last 60 hours of a bachelor's degree, a 3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA, or a 3.5 GPA on a completed master's degree
  • GRE or MAT test scores (if required)
  • Two recommendations
  • Resume or CV
  • Personal statement
