Program Details

University of North Texas offers an online Master of Education in Special Education. This program allows students to study evidence-based case studies of individuals with learning disabilities. The practical education is respected among many career paths, offering a meaningful journey to help the lives of disabled students. Students can choose one of the following specializations:

  • Autism Intervention
  • Educational Diagnostician


  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from a regionally accredited institution
  • Official transcript from each college or university that you have attended 
  • Minimum GPA of 3.25 on the last 60 semester credit hours at the bachelor's level
  • Official GRE test scores (strongly encouraged)
  • Two written letters of recommendation
  • Resume
  • Personal statement
  • Copy of your teaching certificate, three years of experience as a fully-licensed teacher, and the Policy Manual signature (educational diagnostician concentration)
