Program Details

The online Doctor of Health Leadership is designed for working healthcare professionals with the potential and ambition to become senior leaders and who are committed to improving the public’s health.  The program’s goal is to produce graduates with the motivation, knowledge, and skills, and the ability to effectively use those skills, to become top leaders.  Courses may include Leadership in Global Health Systems, Population Perspectives for Health, Cultural Awareness/Cultural Competence, and Leadership in Health Informatics.


  • Students must come to campus once in the fall, spring and summer for two years (for 3-4 days each visit)
  • Requires from 45-51 credits for completion
  • Must hold a master’s or doctoral degree
  • Meet prerequisite requirements in health science coursework
  • GRE or GMAT (waived for applicants holding a doctoral degree)
  • Three professional letters of recommendation
  • Phone interview
  • Minimum of five years managerial/supervisory experience in healthcare
