Program Details

Intended for council members, tribal leaders or tribal administrators, UMD offers this online Master of Tribal Administration and Governance (MATG).  You’ll build the skills and knowledge to effectively work within a tribal government, learning from legal, cultural and political perspectives.  Communication, project management, fiscal management and human resource skills are all strengthened and integrated into your studies.  There are program requirements for in-person, live meetings, but there is the option to attend these sessions virtually.  Curriculum likely involves:
