Program Details

The online Graduate Certificate in Plastic & Composite Materials program exposes students to both design and manufacturing considerations of plastics and composite materials. The curriculum examines processes, properties, and design of materials. It also reviews characteristics of the materials manufactured and materials for automotive applications.

Courses include, but are not limited to:

• Injection molding
• Computational materials design
• Finite element methods

This online program is 12 credit hours. Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. Graduates are able to understand the design principles of composite materials and have knowledge in the properties of injection molded design considerations for injection molded parts.
