Program Details
The online Graduate Certificate in Automotive Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH) program provides fundamental principles of acoustics and vibration theories, with emphasis on the applications of these principles to practical vehicle NVH problems. The curriculum covers basics of vehicle dynamics, free and forced vibration systems, acoustic wave propagations and transmission, acoustic interior trim and floor covering designs and analysis including Statistical Energy Analysis technology, plus sound quality issues, and vehicle audio systems designs. Graduates are able to describe the core fundamentals in NVH; understand the connection between automotive structural design and noise, vibration, and harshness; and integrate the fundamentals of Automotive NVH within the field.
