Program Details

The Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is an online psychology degree from the University of Memphis that prepares students for careers or higher education in various psychology-related subjects.  This program seeks to increase understanding of the cultural and natural worlds through greater familiarity with the humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences.  You will study the concepts, language, research methods, and major theories of psychology while learning about the basic characteristics of the field.  Courses help students gain skills in problem solving, critical thinking, reasoning, communication, and quantitative analysis.  A major part of this online bachelor’s in psychology program is research, helping students learn to use appropriate research methods and evaluate conclusions in order to address psychological questions.  Graduates are prepared to fulfill roles as responsible members of their families, community, and society while maintaining ethical behavior in the science and practice of psychology and respecting diversity.
