Master of Education in Instructional Technology

Program Details

University of Maryland University College (UMUC) offers the online Master of Education in Instructional Technology. Students will learn advanced skills in curriculum and instruction, technology integration, and leadership in pre–12 learning environments. This program is designed to help you develop expertise in current and emerging instructional technologies, gain a deep understanding of the role of technology in the contemporary school, and lead change efforts at the classroom, school, and district levels to improve student achievement. The courses offered will help students develop expertise in digital-age learning by using technology, mobile devices, and active learning techniques to transform the educational experience.

  • Official transcript indicating completion of a bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally accredited degree-granting university or college

Restrictions

UMUC currently does not admit students residing in Kentucky into UMUC's Master of Education in instructional technology program unless approved on a case-by-case basis. UMUC students residing in Kentucky would not be permitted to complete the program's field and clinical requirements in Kentucky public or nonpublic schools.
