Program Details
The online Associate of Science in Criminal Justice program prepares students for careers in criminal justice but is specifically designed to provide a foundation for entry into the Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program by focusing on courses at the freshman and sophomore levels. The curriculum includes general education courses that broaden the students’ educational foundations and courses that introduce criminal justice, juvenile justice, criminal law, law enforcement, and corrections. Graduates are able to explain the fundamentals of criminal justice and the criminal justice system, understand the core elements of Administration of Justice topics, apply practical knowledge to enforce the law while upholding protections provided by the Constitution and the law, and evaluate leading management theories and practices in criminal justice administration.
