Program Details

The online Master of Arts in Criminal Justice program prepares students for professions within the criminal justice field or offers those already working in the field the knowledge and skills needed to advance in their positions.  The flexible curriculum offers both a thesis and a non-thesis option and both options allow students to choose many elective courses to complete the degree, tailoring it to fit their individual interests and goals.  The core course requirements for the program include:

  • Advanced Theories of Crime and Delinquency
  • Advanced Research Methods in Criminal Justice
  • Juvenile Justice System
  • Seminar in Criminal Justice Administration
  • Minorities, Crime, and Criminal Justice

Requirements

  • Any graduate, terminal, or professional degree from a regionally accredited university
  • OR a cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75 (based on a 4.0 scale) from a regionally accredited university
  • OR a GPA of 2.75 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate coursework from a regionally accredited university
