Graduates will be prepared to deliver evidence-based treatment and promote change to reduce the toll of tobacco on public health. Coursework gives students the skills and knowledge required to treat tobacco dependence and promote tobacco cessation. 

This substance abuse counseling certificate examines evidence-based and culturally sensitive policy interventions to promote healthy communities, especially among vulnerable populations. Upon completion of this accredited program, graduates will earn a training certificate that is the initial requirement for obtaining the National Certificate in Tobacco Treatment Practice (NCTTP)
