Program Details

The Certificate in Interscholastic Athletics / Activities Administration qualifies you for athletics leadership roles in Iowa state K-12 schools. Academic coursework is combined with experiential learning and networking opportunities to prepare future athletic administrators.

Classes expose you to topics in ethics, sports law, and diversity and inclusion in athletics. Each student will also complete a field experience with a current athletic administrator. Customize the program to your needs with the choice of two elective courses in areas such as:

• Nutrition
• Sports event management
• Prevention and treatment of athletic injuries
• Communications and public relations in sports
• Psychological aspects of physical activity
