Program Details

The Master of Social Work from the University of Houston is an online social work degree for those interested in advancing their knowledge in this field.  The online option is great for independent, self-motivated learners, offering a flexible schedule that they can complete around other obligations.  You will complete courses with an assigned cohort throughout the program, allowing you to develop supportive professional relationships with online classmates, enhancing the learning environment.  

This online master’s in social work features an intensive curriculum that is organized around generalist practice in professional social work.  The focus is on social, economic, and political justice, with an emphasis on critical thinking skills.  All students will complete field work that allows hands-on social work practice experience under close supervision, but it can be completed in your area of residence.  Non-residents may be eligible for a rate reduction through school scholarships.
