Program Details

In the online Bachelor of Arts in Humanities degree program, you'll take writing-intensive classes that stress critical thinking, taught by highly-respected scholars and authors. There are four concentration options available:

  • Cultural Studies – Focuses on the major intellectual trends of humanity, including literature, fine arts, politics, philosophy, and science
  • Critical Race Studies – Studies the way various forms of racism contribute to, develop, and maintain cultural, social, institutional, and legal power structures which marginalize members of various populations
  • Latino Studies – Explores the linguistic, cultural, sociopolitical, historical, artistic, and literary elements of Latino, Hispanic, and Latin American populations
  • Religious Studies – Examines Western and World religions and theology as preparation for careers in ministry, pastoral counseling, non-profit work, or other faith-based professions
