Master of Education in Student Personnel in Higher Education

Program Details

University of Florida offers an online Master of Education in Student Personnel in Higher Education. This program relates experiences and theory of higher education to the corporate world and after-college life. Students are well-prepared to contribute to society in a variety of contexts and roles.


  • Five in-person sessions over the two years: orientation, 2 conferences (suggested NASPA-FL Drive-in Conference and the AFC Student Development Commission conference), capstone presentation, and hooding ceremony/graduation
  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited United States college or university, or a degree deemed equivalent by the University of Florida Office of Admission
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 upper-division (last 60 credits) undergraduate work
  • Acceptable GRE scores (Analytical Writing section not required)
  • Official transcripts
  • State of purpose
  • Writing sample
  • Current resume or CV
  • Two letters of recommendation

  • Not approved for residents of Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Washington, and Wyoming.
  • Approval is currently pending for Arkansas, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Oregon, and Rhode Island.
